WILLAMETTE VALLEY EVENING

8x10"Acrylic on panel.......$125 SOLD

Trying to get paintings done and still do some other necessary things like run down to the valley for important family stuff. I shot a photo doing 70 mph on the freeway of this nice old farm as the sun was going down. I don't know what the crop was but wow! did it look beautiful in that light.

THE DERBY

6x8" acrylic on panel......$100 SOLD

All that energy! Seemed the perfect subject to try to keep the paint loose and energetic. I tried to just suggest everything and not get bogged down in detail. No one sees details at this moment in a race...just excitement and energy.

MORNING AT THE ROCK

8x10" acrylic on Masonite panel......$125SOLD

This is Tillamook Rock Lighthouse. It was decommissioned back in the late 50's so her light no longer shines. Replaced by  a lightship and then later by a buoy she stands silently still. From our window I can see it in the far distance a mile or two out at sea. I've flown over it to take pictures and taken photos from shore but  I've never actually gotten this close to it. A fisherman friend of mine gave me a couple nice shots though.

ON A PEDESTAL

8x10 acrylic on Masonite panel..........$125

This beautiful vase of pussywillows sits on a black pedestal in our living room. I con't do justice to the kiln fired colors but this is close. Someone put small, fake blackbirds in various locations around the house and one of them sits here looking out the window.

OH YEAH!

8x10" acrylic on masonite panel...........$125

My son Max and his buddy Cole heading out at a surf contest in Pacific City. I keep telling them surfing is not a competition sport. It's supposed to be about testing yourself against mother nature and becoming one with the ocean and mystical stuff like that...but they just can't resist. If there's a contest nearby ...they gotta be there.

THE REAL ME

8x10 acrylic on masonite panel................$125SOLD

I did this as my entry in the DAILYPAINTWORKS CHALLENGE
for this week. I wanted to catch me at my best and I think I got it!
The good folks at DAILYPAINTWORKS are moving in a new direction and are just about prepared to offer auction style sales abilities to artists who normally auction through Ebay. The GREAT part is..much smaller fees and this site is for art only. I am on board as a human Guinea pig so to speak to help them work through potential  set-up problems. In return I am getting their services for free for a spell.! I got the best end of that deal!
I'm proud to be at all associated with this site because a number of the best daily painters in the world show there as featured artists. And the folks running it are pretty cool too. Artist Carol Marine and her husband David Marine have built this site into a first class operation. Two extremely talented people in their respective fields. This link will take you to my current gallery there so you can see what the site offers Brian Cameron Gallery. So keep an eye on them.
