Ian

here's how I did my youngest son and the dog (dog is on left) a few months back. He was just a little guy when I shot this picture. He's a big hulk now.Great pose I thought!
about 24x24 acrylic on canvas.

'Surfer Max'

tried to do a quick portrait of my oldest son Max....Ended up reworking it til I got crazy. When you know someone that well the slightest imperfection pulls your eye to it. Still looks loose enough for me and pretty damn close to how he looked last year when I took this photo.  acrylic on linen 13x17

It's not summer yet but there will be a few of these days coming soon.

QUIET TIME

$1600
This is 30x21oil on linen.

Sea Shack

Shingled houses in a beach town. Plenty of those in my home town. Some painted ..some not so much. I've put on more than my share of shingles in my day and I have the busted knuckles to ptove it! I like painting them a lot better than nailing them.
This is about 15x20 ..oil on linen.

CALM WATERS

$1600 SOLD
We just got back this week from a road trip to California. I saw this boat with  the odd squared off bow tied up on Morro Bay. Not sure it's finished..I'll let it be for a while....
21x30 acrylic on linen.

'Come Ashore'

$1600 SOLD
Done again with the knife. Pretty loose but I like it! Pay no attention to that thread hanging down  from the top. I'll shoot a better photo later. This is acrylic on linen..about 21x30.

'lantern dig'

SOLD
This guy is going after the elusive Razor clam. You can tell by the fact that he's on both knees and has his wife holding the lantern that he's not a commercial digger. But you gotta hand it to them for going out after dark. Those clam holes are hard to see by lamp light.
This is about 20x15 done in oil on linen. SOLD
